In addition to our annual performances of The Nutcracker, we also present our Spring Gala performances in late April/early May, featuring a wide selection of classical and contemporary ballets. These have included such classics as Coppelia, La Bayadere, Swan Lake & The Sleeping Beauty, as well as works from George Balanchine including Divertimento No. 15, Harlequinade, Raymonda Variations, Serenade, Valse Fantaisie, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, and Who Cares?. Our repertoire also includes Jerome Robbins’ Circus Polka, and Peter Martins’ Eight Easy Pieces. Performances also include new choreography from the Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh faculty.
The 2025 Spring Gala performances will be held Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at 2pm at the Thomas Jefferson High School Theater. The repertoire will feature excerpts from George Balanchine's iConcerto Barocco, and Harlequinade. The program will also feature Carnival of the Animals,, and a brand-new offering to Disney's Aladdin, in addition to other original works.
Advance tickets ($20, reserved seating) will go on sale Saturday, March 15 at 10am by clicking on the below link. Advance tickets will be available for purchase through Sunday, April 20. Beginning Monday, April 21, tickets will be $25 online and at the door prior to the performances.
