In addition to our annual performances of The Nutcracker, we also present our Spring Gala performances in late April/early May, featuring a wide selection of classical and contemporary ballets. These have included such classics as Coppelia, La Bayadere, Swan Lake & The Sleeping Beauty, as well as works from George Balanchine including Divertimento No. 15, HarlequinadeRaymonda Variations, Valse Fantaisie, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, and Who Cares?. Performances also include new choreography from the Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh faculty.

Spring Gala 2017:

Saturday, May 6 at 7pm & Sunday May 7 at 2pm

This year’s performances will be held Saturday, May 6 at 7pm and Sunday, May 7 at 2pm at the Independence Middle School Theater in Bethel Park. The repertoire will feature excerpts from George Balanchine’s Stars & Stripes and Coppelia, including Waltz of the Hours, Dawn, Prayer and Spinner. 

Advance tickets are $15, and will go on sale Saturday, April 1 to all Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh students/families, and Monday, April 3 to the general public (reserved seating). 

Tickets can also be purchased at the door prior to the performances at $20.
